When the night was over he was tired, pale - and smiling. Maybe because Rosie was perfectly fine in her hospital bed, maybe because the little girl, now dressed in a fluffy pink, had stolen his heart the moment he touched her.
There was only one problem. She wasn’t real.
And he already didn’t want to let go of the thing. It looked so.. real, it looked like a perfect baby. Five fingers on each hand, five toes on each feet. A nose, two eyes, two ears. It was a dream of a baby.
They had now called her Laila, and the baby girl was sleeping on her mothers chest, eyes closed and all clean, a puff of fluffy hair on her head. He had snapped a picture with his muggle camera, just to show his parents what a gorgeous baby he and Julia had to take care of.
Not that he had any hand in conceiving it - what obviously would be his mother’s - secretly excited - new question. Yet it felt like his baby, a little.
Julia and Caradoc’s little sister Briony
“Am I gonna get a little sister?”
“No it’s not a real baby Briony,”
“Yeah that would be nice,” she smiled at him, kissed his lips gently. “Don’t you think it’s weird that it’s not real,” she said while stroking her belly. “I mean, it’s almost unnatrual to go through all this trouble and get nothing in return.” she said while stroking the bump under her clothes.
“I mean…I don’t know. I always liked kids.” she admitted. “And I think you would give me very pretty babies,” she teased and chuckled though suddenly her face turned painful.
“Oh…” she said and grabbed her belly.
“Which day is it again?” she wondered. “Is today labourday?” She shrieked as she felt another flash of pain. “Oh dear goodness toda is labourday!”
“It’s thurs-” he started. “What?” and he frowned “Labour day? They actually.. it’s actually labour-day?” and maybe she imagined it but her face got quite pale. “You should be in the hospital wing. You should.. we should go to the hospital wing.” he nodded and he tried to help her up, but she shrieked once again.
“Rosie?” he asked, kneeling in front of her. “Rosie, can you walk still?” he tried to stay calm because two people frekaing out was no thing thing to handle and honestly he thought he knew where he had signed up for and this hadn’t been part of the plan.
Everything always seemed so much easier when it was in books.
He stroked her hair back to be able to look at her face. “Can you walk with me to the infirmary? Or should I carry you?”

As long as that persons is in Slytherin I’m totally fine with it. Just don’t go and molest boys from the other houses.
I have been fine, have been fine. Taking care of Rosie, with all the trouble that comes with the lifecourse. What about you, Luce?
In fact I do not. I’m not as interested in other girls.
You might try viridian next time. Rumour has it he likes it on the young side..
We had the pitch fair and square before you. It’s not my fault you are good at threatening teachers.. or lifting your skirt, either.
An..assho…I’m seriously hurt Caradoc!
I only speak the truth, can’t change it, man.. And besides, hurt already?

Oh, no I indeed don’t think I know you. I’m Julia, as you..already seem to know. Nice to meet you, Avery. Can I help you with something or is there no significant reason for your approach?
Rosie, stay away from him.
